Here's the synopsis: After recovering from a failed suicide attempt, 16 year old Shikauhno Lee moves from Seattle back to her birthplace Ryojima, Japan. (The largest Japanese city) Upon her arrival she learns of mysterious deaths and disappearances plaguing the city known as Black Onda, also rumored to be a supernatural occurrence or punishment. Subsequently, Shikauhno crosses paths with a man,Ryo Yamano, who was recently reported missing. Oddly enough, he denies being Ryo Yamano-despite their identical appearance and attempts to kill Shikauhno. Before her demise, a mystifying man brandishing a guitar as a weapon rescues her by slaying the man and leaves Shikauhno with a simple, yet cryptic riddle, "Let the dead bury their own".
