Hello! I saw your post asking about writing a first interrogation scene for a psychological thriller.
          
          I would say it depends a lot on the context before the scene. If, say, for example, the main character knows that the person is a murderer, then you could make it so that the murderer acts completely normal, but use the character's internal dialogue to almost question why the murderer is acting that way, what they're planning, build up the suspense etc. Then when the murderer finds out that the main character knows, they could almost 'switch', and try to manipulate the main character, but also act unpredictably - I find those kinds of characters super scary, as you never know what they'll do next.
          
          If the murderer knows that the main character knows from the onset, I would suggest a game of cat and mouse - with the murderer trying to act normal, but something off, like they're x-raying the main character, like they're staring too much etc. Just small things that add up and build a larger picture of someone who's perhaps plotting, but you don't know what.
