A gross smell hit her as Tavarin opened the bathroom door. She immediately went into one of the stalls and started to change her cloths. Lucky for her she
hadn't had P.E yet. The only hard part was getting the glitter out of her hair. It took almost forever but eventually she had combed out all of it from her hair.
As she picked up her bag a photo of her and her family fell out. It was of her, her brother and her parents. They were in Hawaii or somewhere tropical. But, as hard as she tried Tavarin couldn't remember any moments she had with them. All she could remember was waking up in the hospital and being told that she was the lone survivor of a car crash. Her parents and brother were dead. After that the nurse came in telling her that she would be in the custody of her aunt. Ever since that day she was sent back to California without seeing her parents grave while her aunt remained in Chicago supporting her from there.
Tav examined the picture more carefully , she felt as if it weren't real. As if the people smiling in the picture wasn't her family. But how would she know, she can't even remember what happened over the past 13 years. Only her knowledge stayed with her, not her memories. Tavarin shook her head and put the picture back into the bag. Today she wouldn't falter to the kids. Today she would stand strong. And today Tavarin's life would change.
