          Back in 2021, I promised I’d publish this book… and then I vanished. Turns out I’m a pathological liar.
          
          Honestly? Life happened. Between school, work, COVID, and editing chaos — everything got in the way. Weeks turned into years. I know I left you hanging, and if you’re side-eyeing me or pouting right now… I absolutely deserve it. 
          
          (If you lost faith in me? Valid. I would’ve too.)
          
          But the truth is: I never forgot about you. Or this story. Or Damien and Nabokov — the beautiful, chaotic mess that they are.
          
           And today, I can finally say it for real:
          THE BOOK IS FINISHED.
          
          It’s edited. It’s formatted. It’s published.
