Someone on AO3 pointed out that it seems very out of character for Noodle to address a person she just met as "pretty girl",even if it's just out of playfulness or sarcasm, & after rereading the chapter I have come to same conclusion, which is why I ended up changing that part. It sounded acceptable the first time, weird on my second read, & after the third try it bothered me so much that I couldn't even look past it anymore.
Honestly, Noodle is ridiculously tricky to write, especially as a 15 year old, & I wish there was more material/ background information regarding her personality to educate myself on..

The fact that my The Lost Boys ff still gets so much attention & new Lost Boys stories keep entering this platform is so fascinating to me. Compared to FNAF it's such a timeless fandom that never seems to die down, not even temporarily. I'm yet to experience how things move within the Gorillaz fandom on here & AO3; I see plenty of fanfictions around this place but most of them are at least 6 years old, if not older ~

I don’t mean it like that it just seems like the people who write GorillaZ stuff are losing interest. :-:
But yeah I hope not to. :) and I’m pretty sure the generation of GorillaZ fans is growing and starting to sky rocket again.

@Harriet13RJW Totally!! I'll never forget seeing him in the Feel Good Inc video for the first time; shirtless, chill, side-glaring at the camera while playing his bass in this naughty dim stage light, literally being the coolest character in the whole room - immediate crush. I guess his Phase 5 design ain't too bad, but anything after that... =/ nope.

By the way, I will probably never forgive what they did to my man Murdoc's design over the past decade. That's definitely not the scruffy rough goth-rock looking edge-lord 17 year old me fell in love with many many years ago......

It was kinda the album where everyone in the band became two dimensional actually.( ;-;) and fun fact it was Damon’s ‘the most amazing pop album’

I know right! He was so smoking hot in that video. ;p
And he was much more interesting in those days. But I can’t lie in plastic beach the captains hat got me laughing my head off. But that was also the album where he became two dimensional. (;^;)

I know right! He’s all “YIPPEE YOU HAA!” Now, and not in a good way. (;^;) sometimes I wish the old murdoc would come back.

Can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted a message on here or uploaded a chapter/story... So much has happened since then; I officially met my online love interest last year, went to the States where I married him only a month later & spent an amazing & eventful 6 months before returning to Germany with him, to start our life together in a new apartment + with completely new perspectives. I've been focusing on language studies, photography & finding a new, more fulfilling work field, so much that there was neither time nor motivation to even think about a sequel to my Lost Boys story... Which hurts to admit, since this story meant a lot to me back then (& still does), not to mention the amount of people asking & looking forward to me continuing it. But life has it's very own plans at times, & all you can do is simply roll with it.

I'm still thinking, contemplating... whether I'm finally going to sit down & work on the promised sequel, or move on from it in order to start something completely new, sth original that is not a fan fiction. The passion to do either is undoubtedly there, however deep down I know that moving away from fan fiction writing in order to grow as a writer would make far more sense; now more than ever. And I'm certain many of you can relate...

Either way, I apologise for letting many of you down, especially those who've been waiting for the story to continue, & I'll be back soon with a final decision regarding this subject.

          Until then ~ ️

How hard was it to write David, an get him just right in “swan song” for example how hard was it getting the complexity of his psychotically complicated but wonderful brain?

InterstellarTombs

@AbbyHuffman1 To tell you the truth: ridiculously challenging. Writing David was perhaps one of the most difficult things I've ever done, in any story I've created. The main reason for that might be that his character has always been "unfinished"; the movie introduces him & shows you just enough of him to work with, which is hardly a handful of information about what is clearly the most complex character in the whole movie, & it leaves all the rest up to the imagination. It's like having a pile of clay that has barely any shape & you're supposed to turn it into something that agrees with whatever the original creator has had in mind for the final piece, even though you have no idea what that even is. Truly, only Joel Schumacher himself could tell me if I've succeeded in doing so, for David is his creation, & only he knows if the David in my story matches the David born in his mind. But that's also the beauty of it... Every viewer/reader gets a slightly different picture of David, which affects the way they feel about his character, & how far they think he'd go, what he'd do or say in a specific scenario, etc. Some believe he might have a weak spot & be actually vulnerable at heart, others think he knows no boundaries & would walk over thousands of dead bodies to get what he wants, & that is my favourite thing about writing characters that I hardly know anything about. It's hard & sometimes frustrating, but always rewarding.
