@Starmoon2970 I also just started it, and I couldn't agree more!! The magic system, at its base level, is so easy to understand and so unique I'm honestly shocked it's not been used in media prior (or if it has, I haven't seen/read it)

Okay, hear me out. I bring back Idris (my first opla oc) and focus on that instead of trying to start a new story. (and if it turns into a zoro & sanji story rather than just Zoro then that's just how it is because I GIVE UP PLANNING)

@Starmoon2970 I mentioned this, but I used to never plan anything beyond the oc's name, ability if they had one, and the gist of what I wanted to write. This caused issues down the road, sure, but it was so much fun, and idk why I stopped writing like this??? Definitely taking the advice and just writing and seeing where the story takes me. (You also have a good point, bouncing ideas off others can also help!)

@akariri I've found that when I stopped "free writing" and started trying to plan stories better, I just stopped writing in general because it just didn't match what I was planning. Idris comeback in 2026!

It's been so long since I've actually tried writing/been excited to write, and I fear I'm way out of practice. So now, I get to play "publish anyway cause it's just fanfic" vs "this reads as if a toddler wrote it" game

This is currently living rent free in my head:
Luffy, shouting: "Where's my LIFE??"
Usopp: "Uh, you mean, wife? And who-"
Luffy, shouting harder: "WHERE'S MY WIFE???"
Because anytime Asteria is away from Luffy for more than three minutes, he starts asking/shouting "where' my life/wife" and no one, no matter how many times Asteria tells the crew/people "We're not married, he's just an idiot," no one buys it.
(also not me procrastinating because I'm highkey worried/not sure how to properly write Rook/Zoro/Sanji's story)

@Starmoon2970 I just love their dynamic, it's very "touch her/him and be prepared to meet whatever deity you believe in" cause as much as Luffy loves fighting, he always gets serious when Asteria is downed or "whispers" his name
