Caught on the pathway to heaven
Glorious tears
fall through endless years,
Making it seem so lovely.
Now has anyone thought,
Or have they've just been caught,
Along the pathway to heaven.
All three crept quietly past the guards
Hoping they wouldn't be seen.
But one's heart broke into shards
The rest covered his mouth
But sadly, they were too late
And they were nothing but meat after that.
The three were thrown into the stocks
After hoping not to get caught.
They were shipped away and beheaded
And off to being forgetted.
When all a sudden the first cried out,
The same that got them caught.
The other two picked up a knife
And swung at his head,
Hoping that he'd just stop.
This is not the pleasantest tale.
But it seems that after all this time,
The devil was just looking for heaven.
He wanted to see
What it was like
To be inside white paradise.
The clouds, the sky, the kindness
All sweeping the streets of heaven.
Little did he know,
That it never existed.
Nor will it ever.
Because heaven,
Is just a sense of false hope,
A place of magic and death.
Where fairy tales are real,
And sins are none but a curse.
So wise up,
Said the devil.
Or you too will be fooled
By the mysterious Haven of heaven.
