I'm back with a question no one has ever asked before: when is it acceptable to say a song comes from a specific movie/series? Is it a matter of time of release? Iconicness of the scene and the use of the song in the plot? Is it just vibes? Cause I see no problem in calling Mad World "the Donnie Darko song", but doing the same with Head Over Heels, by the same artist (kind of) and the in same movie, feels dumb. Idk, tell me if you have an idea lol

@Ingrid_Res_Publica yeah that's the clear case when it happens. But I feel that in some cases it makes sense even if the song came out before (like All Star in Shrek)

@IreneBlackDiAngelo my opinion: A song shouldn't be defined "the song of" unless it was created or heavily reworked for that media (obviously it can be named like that, in situations like "ahhh what was that song...) This is just what feels right to me but let's go we can do whatever we want
