I posted a new story--one I wrote for a Writer's Digest competition that didn't make it in to the final five. It's about an old man who wakes up one morning to find his whole world has changed. https://www.wattpad.com/536704922-very-short-stories-what-carl-didn%27t-know-10

I've unpublished my novel for now. I'm going to hold off on adding anything to it until I've heard back from all my agent queries. Thank you for all your comments and votes!

@IrishSally Thanks for that info... good luck with your first ten pages!

I may take you up on your offer of eyeballing my query. It may be some time away because I think I need to reshape the story first... it takes too long to get into the meat of it.

@KenMagee All the best with it. Let me know if you want a second set of eyes on the query. I also had another agent request ten pages after paying for a ten-minute Skype session with her. Might be worth looking into once you're ready if an agent you'd like to work with offers that. http://www.manuscriptwishlist.com/2017/02/want-to-spend-10-minutes-with-an-agent-now-you-can/

@IrishSally Best of luck, let us know what happens.

I'm thinking of taking my 'twin brother's' mature adventure round the agent loop but I think I'll get Christmas over before I start.

I've just begun posting chapters from my novel set in Ireland. I'll post a new chapter every Friday. https://my.w.tt/UiNb/f1qol8hjuH

It's 1986 in Dublin, Ireland. Single mum Una has finally put a decent life together after running away from home-and the scandal the small Irish town would have smacked their lips on for years if they'd found out she was pregnant at sixteen. But now her son needs his dad-the man she still loves and never told about the baby.

And he's dating her sister ....
