Umino Iruka

            Iruka jumped a bit when Kakashi scared him, giving him a pointed glare and mentally cursing the sneaky shinobi. "I wouldn't want you to feel put out Kakashi, you don't have to feel like you owe me anything yanno. If you still want to go that's fine, but I don't want you to feel like you have to go... if that even makes any sense." Iruka deadpanned for a moment before shaking his head. "Come on baka, let's get something to eat. If you think i get mad easily now wait till I'm starving." Iruka gently grabbed the jonin's arm, tugging him along before he could change his mind.

            Kakashi started to walk towards Iruka sneakily before scaring him. " So , what about that bbq place you were talking about Iruka ? I haven't had bbq in a while when me and you went there . " Kakashi said softly before looking at him .

            Iruka froze, watching the jonin walk away, before he wordlessly picked up his belongings and turned to leave the other direction, "I didn't realize it was such an inconvenience for you, you didn't have to say yes to dinner." Iruka paused a moment then continued, his voice monotone, "Maybe some other time. I know you've never liked me much but I wish you wouldn't purposely try to make me mad every chance you get. It started off cute, like a child, but now it just feels like I'm entertainment for you."  The brunette heaved a sigh, then quietly started on his way home to have a quiet dinner alone. 

"I can tell that sometimes you secretly enjoy me being protective of you... And you're always relieved when I help you. But I never expect anything extra in turn for what I do... You being alive and okay is a good enough reward for me. That's one of the things that I want the most..." The Jônin had been looking up at the gently falling rain as he spoke, and only after the last word left his mouth did he look down at the brunette in his arms again.
            "Of course I always swoop in. Because no matter how much you train, you'll still be vulnerable in a sense and it's up to me to defend you. Not that you're not a decently strong Shinobi... I'm just saying that there are plenty of others who outmatch you in some way, plenty of obstacles that challenge you with an inevitable fate, plenty of flaws in life that you can't help... Sometimes it's in a battle. Sometimes it's as simple as talking to someone or it's a simple everyday task. All that stuff. J-just- don't worry about it, okay? As long as I'm around, nothing... and I mean NOTHING will ever hurt you without regretting it." With that, the taller male had pulled the Chûnin closer with a slightly tighter grip.
            "Hmm... Oh? I am?? If you say such a thing about me, then it must be true. I didn't notice, considering I have always been so focused on protecting you." A smooth, calmly spoken comeback. Kakashi used a hand to slide his mask down again. But this time, he kissed Iruka right on the lips.
            
            (I only just now realized that Kakashi's words rhymed-
            And it was completely unintentional. x'D )

Iruka blushed indignantly, looking away even as his jonin lover embraced him. "Maa, I just dont like getting sick." He explained, realizing how silly it sounds to just not like rain. 
            "Pfffft..." the brunette laughed softly, a smile worming onto his face even through his discomfort. "You'll even protect me from rain, ne? Seems like no matter how much I train you always swoop in to save me from something." It had, after all, happened way too many times over the years where Iruka was sure he was going to die, only for Kakashi to appear and save the day. "You're good at saving the day." Iruka mused, biting his lip in thought with a suspicious look aimed at Kakashi.

"Except it takes less effort for ME to fluster YOU, than it takes for it to be the other way around..." Kakashi winked, sliding his mask back onto his face with an index finger. 
            Once the Jônin had felt Iruka slip their pinkies together, nothing was said but a covered, hidden blush found its way onto his face.
            The rain could be smelt, felt, and heard by the former ANBU member. He looked over and down at the brunette, laughing softly. "Maa, maa, Ruka... It's just rain. Does my precious Dolphin not like rain??" The phrase was stated in such a teasing but gentle manner. Kakashi wrapped his arms around the smaller male and brought him close, purring with a loving and protective look in his visible eye. The male had narrowed his eyes a bit to prevent the rain from falling into them.
            "Bad rain. Bad rain for bothering my Dolphin." The currently playful of the two gently swatted dismissively at the rain with one hand, acting as though the rain were an enemy and he could get rid of it simply by hitting it.

"That must be really hard to do!" Naruto huffed. "Oh- well Grandma Tsunade would probably send her assistant out to look for sake first-"
            A brief moment of pure silence, then laughter filled the air. "She'll probably notice AFTER!"
            
            The blond gripped some ramen with the chopsticks, then brought the long noodles to his mouth and put then in. As he was starting to slurp the noodles up, he heard Iruka speak again, and turned his head slightly to look at the Chûnin. A blush of pure flattery tinged the Jinchûriki's face, and he finished getting the bite of noodles in his mouth and eaten. "Awwe, Iruka-sensei, you're DEFINITELY awesome!"

Iruka couldn't help laughing at the blonde's coughing, sending him a smirk. "And just think, this is how half the village gets through each day, the Hokage included? Oh by the way, if you feel a murderous intent, RUN. This might be from her desk stash. Our lives depend on how distracted Shisune keeps her." He may not be the young brat he used to be, but pranking would never get old. "I left her a bottle of dirt, luckily it's an opaque bottle... Think she'll notice before or after she takes a swig?" 
            "You already are the best ninja to me, Naruto!" Iruka laughed, smiling fondly at the blonde. "I have every confidence that you'll be a great Hokage... Eventually."

            "Huh? Taller than you? Maybe in a few years! Everyone's talkin' about my height! Ever since I came back from Konoha, they talk about how I'm not a short little squirt like before!" With a laugh, he sat back down. Once Iruka had raised his glass and drank some sake, Naruto raised his and drank some of the sake as well. He coughed a little once the glass was set down. "WOW, that's strong," he giggled.
            "Aaaaawwe not again, Iruka-sensei!" The genin whined from his hair once again being ruffled by his former teacher.
            "'Course I didn't forget! How could I forget about ya, Iruka-sensei? I just haven't been able to be around as much... Pervy Sage can work the hell out of anyone, Kakashi-sensei is always absorbed in his pervy book, and well.... Everyone else doesn't take the same interest in me as some," he laughed. "But I have looooots of training! Training and learning more jutsu, so one day I can be Hokage, and the best ninja! Mmmmmhm!" With a nod, the blond picked up chopsticks and split them apart, then began eating his first bowl of ramen.

"Hell yeah, I learned more jutsu! But Pervy Sage sometimes left me alone once he told me about one and showed it to me... But a lot of the time, he stayed around and we trained a lot. A LOT..." Naruto side-pouted a bit, remembering how relentless the training was. And he remembered how he had been told that the Nine Tails had gotten out of his control a few times. "Hmn-?" An eyebrow was raised as the blond took on an intrigued expression, then he heard Iruka finish out the joke. He let out a laugh as the brunette pulled him close. Feeling a hand playful-aggressively rub his head and his hair being ruffled, he grinned. "Heheheh, Iruka-sensei! Co-hum-e on already!" Chuckling and laughing between words was something the genin did sometimes. Once he was let go, he blinked. Noticing that his blond hair was now a mess. "Aaaaawe, Iruka-senseeiiii, you did too much ruffling!" Whining was something he did very often, and that's something that would never change.

@Hyperxctive Cautious curiosity spread over the young teacher's face, "That's how training works usually! You had better of learned more jutsu, especially because of how long you were away with Jiraiya-sama!"  
            "Hm... Is it a Jutsu that makes me pay for your ramen every time? Because I do that anyway!" With a heart laugh, Iruka pulled the blond into a headlock and ruffled his hair, only letting go once the golden locks were sufficiently mussed.

            Naruto let out a giggle-and-laughter mix, closing his eyes as he maintained the grin. "I know more jutsu than I started out with!" The Jinchûriki opened his eyes and looked up at Iruka with sparkling eyes, the non-fading grin keeping his face lit up.
            "Hhup!" The blonde hopped up onto the stool next to the one the Chûnin sat on. "Hehehe... So Iruka-sensei, wanna see, wanna see??" His gaze was fixed on the brunette. Bubbly blue eyes, lively and bright, showed pure impatient excitement.
