To read

When I read I want to feel!
I want to cry tears of joy and tears of sadness!
I want to smile like a crazy person!
I want to gasp in shock,
and blush from desire!
I want to clench my teeth in anger,
to cover my eyes in embarrassment!
I want to shiver in disgust,
to laugh out loud like a maniac!
I want to feel the pain of angst and sorrow!
I want to fan myself from the heat of passion,
and huddle under a blanket from the cold  of emptiness.
Love and hate.
Friendship and resentment.
Allys and enemies.
Loyalty and deceit.
Every emotion comes to me as I read.
