1st time having someone criticize one of my books negatively, adding over 8 comments of nothing but negative criticism. Completely broke me.
Why can't people be respectful of others hard work. Now I can't write today, cause of the self doubt they gave me. :/
@fanficlvr19 Yeah, it was someone from one of the book clubs I was in. I've had two bad experiences with book clubs, so I think I'm going to take a break from them. On the bright side, I've been writing poetry and stories since I was seven years old. I'm 31 now, and I'm still going strong, despite the haters! As Kobe Bryant once said, 'Haters are a good problem to have. Nobody hates the good ones. They hate the great ones.' Some of the people from the book clubs didn't seem to read my work thoroughly, and instead just looked for things they didn't like. It's like they were trying to find a needle in a haystack, but without any of the fun of actually finding a needle. And don't even get me started on the people who post negative comments on their own profile for their followers to see about my characters based on the genres I write about. I mean, come on, people, can't we all just get along? But it's all good, because I'm too excited about my two new books to let the haters get me down. Thanks for your message, by the way. It's always great to hear from fellow writers who understand the struggle.
@ItsAasen I'm pretty sure the comments were from a book club. Many clubs on Wattpad have members who nickpick a book like it is their last breath. You have to be careful on certain clubs. If it was regular users who nitpick, then they suck. Really, I wouldn't pay any attention to the nitpickers. Some people have nothing better to do than criticize someone's hard work. I've seen paid stories and stories that ARE physically published by Wattpad Books get nickpicked. These books were edited by professionals and published and people write on those books "This dialogue is off. You need to change it..." among other constructive crap like that.

Sorry for the hiatus, decided to take a much needed break after I completed the 1st Blood Lust book. I've been tossing ideas for the 2nd book- but I kind of want to start a new book and start working on Blood Lust 2 shortly after I start the new project. I'm out looking for ideas

Working on book 2 now, Blood Lust -Council of Night
Blood Lust has reached its Mid-Point at 60,000 words.
I went back and did some minor editing to chapters 1-21.
I need to do the same for chapters 22-30 ...
I think I’m going to spend this week on just going back and editing everything, make sure that it’s all cohesive and probably add some more internal conversations between Kat and herself. :) So no new chapters for the rest of the week, just editing.
I’ll start writing more chapters as soon as I finish editing, it probably wont take me the whole week, but I’m just giving myself leeway. :)
I wrote 72,000 words this month. Around 90+ hours of writing this May... averaging around 1-2 hours of writing on my slow days.. and for example I started my writing session last night at 9pm and now its the next day 330pm.. and I still haven't slept cause of my book BloodLust.
I have either crazy writers block or the complete opposite..
