the main difference between kaveh&ines vs james&aurora is that james and aurora would’ve been more to eachother in any other timeline. it would’ve been them. so in this timeline they’re only tinged with a little too much affection to be reasonably platonic for each other. in another, it would exceed that. and they’d let it.
