Hi everyone! it’s been a while haha.
.
How are you guys all going? :)
I decided to post on Wattpad for the first time this year
with my favourite books [recommendations if you wish]
for the first half of 2023.
5 books, 5 words (or phrases, cough) each.
Maybe I could even start a tradition! like the cool trendsetter I am not, lol.
I admit my genres have been a little skewed lately but please don’t judge my sudden profound love for contemporary Aus YA because it’s actually a super cool genre.
Wildlife by Fiona Wood: touching, authentic, nature themed, identity struggles, makes you think differently about friendship and love and life
Zac & Mia by A.J. Betts: sweet, relatable, heartfelt, funny character narration, i’ve-got-to-find-out-the-ending-or-my-life-will-be-over
Words In Deep Blue by Cath Crowley: emotional, beautiful, philosophical moments, amazing bookshop setting, Australian vibes
I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson: imaginative, poetic, artistic, cool characters, complex but realistic twin and family dynamics
Night Swimming by Steph Bowe: proudly Australian, original vibes, adorable character relationships, cool philosophical coming of age things to mull over, featuring a GOAT. Nothing more needs to be said.
all my personal opinion and obviously you guys and anyone else might think completely differently. Feel free to share your thoughts (I would love you to!)
