Hey @Izzywrites24,

I just took a look at your story Mondays with Murphy and I’m genuinely intrigued by the atmosphere and character-vibe you’re building. The dynamic between your characters already feels layered and alive, especially the way Murphy’s presence seems to shift the weekly routine into something more meaningful.

A couple of things I'd love to know:

What inspired the “Monday” framing for your story why start at the beginning of the week, and how do you see Murphy changing things over time?
Have you published this story on any other platforms besides Wattpad, or shared artwork/sketches of your characters or scenes yet?

Really looking forward to seeing where you take this it’s got a lot of potential!

          Love,
          Pat

That’s such a lovely backstory, Bella. I really enjoyed reading about what inspired Mondays with Murphy! I think it’s wonderful how you’re blending real-life experience with a heartwarming fictional touch. The way you describe Murphy’s personality and the connection he has with people really stands out it feels like he represents hope and comfort in such a gentle, emotional way.

I could actually picture some really sweet and expressive scenes between Sadie and Murphy there’s a lot of visual storytelling in your writing. Do you have any artwork or character visuals for them yet, or have you ever thought about having some illustrations made for your story? I’d love to explore how Murphy and Sadie could be brought to life visually; your story has such a soft and heartfelt aesthetic that would look amazing in art form.

            Thanks,
            Pat

Hi @patlangley,

I would love to answer your questions!

Well Mondays with Murphy just came to me. I myself work at an Assisted Living facility, but not as a nurse. I volunteer doing activities but don’t have a little puppy like Murphy. I wish I did though.

Mondays are the start of the week, and how I always start my week, I just think to myself, this week is a new week and let’s just make it a great one! I chose Mondays because you don’t know who’s going to be in the office or not. So I just thought, let’s take advantage of that idea and see what happens when my M/C brings in her puppy.

Murphy isn’t like any other dog. He seems to understand a great deal. I love playing around with his personality and just experimenting who he interacts with as well as my M/C Sadie.

Sadie is kind of like me in a way how she loves talking to Murphy like he’s an actual person. I don’t have a dog, but I do talk to dogs like they understand me.

I don’t want to spoil too much of the story, but I’ll describe it briefly. Overtime, Murphy is much more than just an ordinary dog. Like other dogs, Murphy is very social and doesn’t mind making friends with anyone he meets. He connects with people in such a special way. ;)

I haven’t published this book on any other platforms, just this one. But let’s see where it goes! It might travel a bit.

I’m very excited to continue my writing journey on wattpad, and seeing where my work takes me. :)

            All the best, Bella
