@J25_Stories i'm sorry that you have had to have been subjected to all of that i think that a lot of people fail to remember or understand or realize that many of the authors on here are those in their middle teens - and some pre-teens, as well.
even seasoned and established authors make grammatical mistakes; have plot lines that don't quite come together as they are writing their books and other errors along the way.
they are lucky enough to have proof-writers and editors to take care of those problems before anything is published.
not everyone is in that position. especially those who are just trying things out; trying to figure out their life - what they want; where do they want to go; where they belong.
i give lots of credit to all of the writers here for being brave enough to not just write; but to also put it out there for countless of people to read.
there is a line between giving constructive criticism and just being a nasty ass person who hides behind a username so they can spew out dislike and hatred.
i have read many, many books on here. yes, there were those that had many grammar mistakes or holes in their plots in one way or another.
however, that did not stop me from enjoying them despite the inconsistencies, etc. many of them are included in my favorites lists.
and, i feel, that those who decide to continue with their writing will only grow better with each story they decide to put down to pen and paper.
don't go into a story looking for mistakes. go into a story looking to be transported into something magical; something that will bring you joy; something that will make you think; something that will make you use your imagination; something that will help you to learn more about yourself and the world around you; something that will help you learn care and compassion for those both different and like yourself.
