J.A.A. Chan was a Filipino writer and eco-humanitarian advocate. He was the authored the high-fantasy children's books The Time of the Hourglass and The Five Elder Stone. Best known simply as "Chan," he was born on December 5, 2003, in the Philippines. 

Major literary works:

• The Fallen Order and the Last Song (2021) - The first installment of The Time of the Hourglass trilogy, a high-fantasy story revolving around the reign of the Dark One and the adventures of Meldhir Redwood and his friends. 

• Ih'ein and Or'lin and the Ar'deland (2024) - The second installment of The Time of the Hourglass trilogy, this story focuses on the importance of promises. In this part, Ih'ein and Or'lin carry on the duties left behind by Meldhir Redwood.

 • The Ar'kalgion and the Archaia (2026) - The final installment of The Time of the Hourglass trilogy. This story centers on the conclusion of the war and the events in Az-Galoth. 

J.A.A. Chan was an independent Filipino author who loved writing and exploring magical worlds. He enjoyed writing children's literature, poetry, and historical fiction. Also he serve as independent rescuer of environment and animal in the Philippines street.
