J.B. Sommerset was raised in the mountains of Idaho and spent his youth playing with wild animals and running through grain fields and forests. Wanderlust got the better of him at an early age and he decided to leave his small rural playground. He spent a good deal of his young adult years traveling and making mischief on a low budget. He hitch-hiked the west coast a number of times, traveled most of the US and some of Europe. He is an avid martial artist and leather-crafter, but also a prolific writer and storyteller. His literary interests include science fiction, fantasy, strange fiction, and eccentric fiction although he often has a hard time placing his work into any genre.
