JB Wise is the author of the Guarding the Vila series. She lives in the beautiful state of Washington with her husband and two wonderfully annoying, hyperactive dogs. She is an active participant in Nanowrimo and was inspired to write Red because of it. She is currently working on the sequel to Red called Riding, a new and exciting trilogy set in a dust bowl and a stand alone novel with no, gasp, magic.
