@crimson14 makes sense (: thanks

crimson14

hey there!, i read your question on chapter one of my story "taking chances" on my email notifications, i was going to reply to your comment on that chapter but i couldn't see it. so i thought i'd answer it here. anyway,

          i based the age of my characters on how old i was when i was a high school student (with the involvement of the school age system i experienced) here in my country because, well, that's what i'm familiar with and i experienced it myself. you see, me and most of my peers graduated high school at 16 years old, and became a college freshman at 17 and a college sophomore at 18.

          at my former school (during my time) in my country. from what i remembered, I started 2 years of pre-school at the age of three, and 2 years of kindergarten at the age of five, then there's 6 years of elementary/grade school, 4 years of high school and then college (college years would depend on the course)

          so with that in mind, I graduated kindergarten at the age of 6 and was a 7 year old kid when i was a first grader (6 years of grade school later..). I graduated grade school at age 12, and have started freshman year of high school at age 13. i graduated high school when i was 16 years old and was already in my sophomore year of college at 18. so there ya go!

          sorry for the long explanation, but i hope this clear things up for you. thanks for reading! :)
