Hi,
You can always personal message me on Twitter if you need to get in touch, or do it through my blog. I see you are getting a good few reads so well done!

Just waiting for my cover artwork for the novel now - my eldest son is a computer games designer so it should be okay. I'm resisting the temptation to rewrite huge chunks of the novel and hopefully save it for a sequel - if anybody reads the first one!

It's a good idea to pre-edit as you are doing - if you don't, then someone will point out the deficiencies. Good luck with it, I will keep on reading!

JD - It seems difficult to get messages to you..so I'll try this way. Next 5 Chapters are critical for my story line so I'm working off line until I smooth out the bumps. Thanks your emails..how is your new book coming! It's June?

@tenforthedevil I read all of them, so probably others did too. Don't worry about the lack of comments, I get few as well, but people often can't be bothered. You might find that the writers who are getting comments are getting them from friends, so maybe you ought to persuade your friends to join Wattpad. Also, some writers are paying to be featured.

Writing is very personal and that means your ego is going to bounce along from peaks to troughs - it's just the way it is. Even people like Stephen King can get depressed about reviews or lack of them. Just keep writing. Even if no-one is taking notice. Someday, someone will. Join Twitter and tweet away about your writing - you can reach thousands of people that way. I'm @JDHughes4 and joined recently, so if you follow me I'll follow you on Twitter.
Also, join Goodreads - it will be useful in getting friends who will
help you with your work and is a good community for writers. :)

Hi There! Wow you are an acknowledged writer! Thanks for the Fan ...did you look at my pages. I'm getting reads but no comments and nervous that people are only reading the first page and turning me off. Man its rough to have such an ego that needs pumping up. Woe is me... Going to look at your work...thank you for the reply! Cool here in Eastern Canada this morning 0 degrees but going up to 15. Hate being cold ...where is the sun.

@JDHughes - wattpad can be a little glitchy sometimes. Usually it works if you try it again. If it keeps doing it, let me know and i'll pass a note on to the engineers at Wattpad HQ.
Haven't been to Derbyshire in years. My mother's family lived around Burton, but unfortunately I can't get a decent pint of Bass in the south west anywhere.

Ah, momie. Je comprends. You don't need to cut it, just rearrange where the backstory comes. It's only a suggestion but you might think about getting right into the action on page 1 - a big, dramatic event - and then filling the details about your world in gradually. I still think you should think about publishing - I don't need the money either, but if you are published more peope get to read your work. Bon chance!
