          ♛┈⛧┈┈•༶༶•┈┈⛧┈♛
          
          A shadow clung, a twisted vine, Around my heart, no love to find.
          
          Just bitter thoughts, a darkened room, Where hate had bloomed instead of bloom.
          
          A face I saw, a gentle light, That pierced the endless, lonely night.
          
          And in that glance, a fear so deep, That tender feelings I must keep
          
          Locked away, from judging eyes, A fragile love, beneath cold skies.
          
          Now guilt it grows, a choking weed, For wounds I caused, a heart that bled.
          
          I see the pain I could not mend, A love I broke, that knew no end.
          
          And curse the dark, the icy chain, That turned my love to endless pain.

Oh my God, am I seeing this right? Did my book really just hit 100k reads? I’m honestly in shock --- happy shock, I mean OBVIOUSLY, duh, lol....
          I never thought my writing or my book had anything extraordinary, yet I started writing it because this story kept replaying in my mind for years. One night, I finally created a new Watty account, wrote the description, made the cover, and posted the first chapter, lol, simply because I was free, and a little too overexcited.
