if it helps, there have been a lot of bots lately, and wattpad is always removing them. they might've been following you. if you see someone saying they like your story and to read theirs and they have a random person or thing on the pfp, they're probably a bot, like the "Do you publish on neobook" thing. also, most of the ones i see have a random japanese or chinese woman as the pfp (like tiktok bots), a random background, and a shit ton of followers even tho they started a few days prior.
