Em sort of yeah I think it's more like operators than commandos for Terran SF/SOF units cause "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one" needed while alongside Earth's intel agencies' paramilitary officers to perform tons of unconventional/irregular covert ops behind enemy lines to misdirect Imperial intelligence agencies thought dealing with other Rebel cells as the first Terran force using cutting edge yet reliable arsenal (mainly firearms with some blasters though most Terrans despise energy weapons than their kinetic energy weapons)/ammo/armor/camo clothing/gear/gadgets/tools/vehicles/food/first aid/survival equipment that Earth has to offer after getting rid of Galactic Empire's invaders also using captured/reverse engineered Imperial tech that need to gather tons of valuable intel to prepare for official Expeditionary forces ready to bring in the pain to Imperial forces along side Rebel Alliance forces (begrudgingly at best for Terrans loath Rebel's restore Galactic Republic BS with more to wipe the galaxy clean without Imperial filth that includes set up a new galactic gov favorable for Terrans in the long run) from all angles similar to 2nd Punic War's Hannibal Barca's war against Roman Republic albeit more refined than ever to not be forced to fight at unfavorable combat  scenarios. While Rebel Alliance & other resistance groups at first glad to have their Terran allies got legitimate military to hit Imperials so hard, though as time passes the leaders of those groups (include militarized factions) concerned Terrans' desire for ultimate revenge mixed with primal instincts of "Survival of the Fittest" mentality far exceeds any 'civilized' manner such as tons of war crimes (justified by vengeful Terrans with legit hard reasons who suffered from invasion) rather than peace after war would later cause heaps of tensions that could become problematic. Yes, I believe earth will very much want revenge after the war is over. Assuming we do win, highly trained small teams with scavenged Imperial equipment will be all earth would be able to send before they have the chance to build their own space fleet. They would likely perform small commando and assassination missions aimed at weakening the Imperials ability to launch another invasion of Earth again. Or they will be recon missions to learn about the rest of the galaxy. The weapons used by these commandos will be the best of the best that Earth and the stolen Imperial tech has to offer

@JP_Short will the next chapter be from the empire's perspective cause I wanna see them trying to set up shop in their captured and allied territories. Like I wanna see imperial troops interacting with the locals and the culture clashes that come with it.
