Books found J. Sevick early in life and ruined her, making her unsuitable for anything else. She taught herself to read the summer before kindergarten, officially selected the career path of author in the first grade, and has single-mindedly pursued that career ever since. Of course, artistic pursuits don't pay much, so she has also worked at an ice cream stand, a nursing home, a fast food restaurant, a classy office, a department store, and a library. When it came time to write what she knew, she realized the only thing she had ever truly known was a love for stories.
