            the  simple  sight  of  the  youngers  blue  eyes  was  enough  to  send  terrance  into  a  short  shock.  he  just  stared  up  at  the  other,  completely  silent  other  than  a  few  shaky  breaths.  this  was..  this  was  his  baby  brother,  there  was  no  other  explanation—  but  how?  why  wouldn't  he  have  come  home..?  "uh—  ..  yeah,  yeah  sure..  e— ..  vance.  you  look  like  someone  off  one  of  the  missing  posters  around  town."  oh  how  badly  he  wanted  to  just  hug  his  brother  and  sob,  but..  there  had  to  be  an  explanation,  a  better  way  to  approach  this.  his  voice  sounded  hurt  though,  like  he  lost  someone.

            the younger paused for a moment and looked over towards terrance . and . . . it was evan . his baby brother who’d been missing for months ; and was , apparently , entirely unaware of it . sure , he had a couple burn scars on his face , but his vibrant blue eyes were unmistakable . “ oh , I - I think I’ve got it . th - thank you though .” he smiled slightly and then turned to continue working .

            terrance  was  on  duty  that  day,  working  around  the  pizzeria.  anything  he  could  find  he  would  work  on.  whilst  looking  around,  he  noticed  that  vance  was  on  a  ladder,  working  alone  on  something.  and  that  his  mask  was  off.  strange..  "hey,  vance,  you  need  some  help  there?"

            terrance  pulled  a  little  cube  from  his  pocket,  starting  to  fidget  with  it.  it  had  a  different  thing  on  each  side  to  fidget  with,  but  he  was  rolling  the  metallic  ball  in  one  of  the  sides  under  his  thumb.  he  almost  didn't  realise  vance  spoke  to  him.    "..  oh,  uhm.  yeah,  i  do,  i  just  have  an  off  day.  i  still  come  in  just  to  help,  just  not  in  uniform."

            vance got clocked in and immediately picked up one of the clipboards , to see if there were any birthday parties scheduled for the day . he always felt sort of a strange . . . tension , almost , when it came to doing birthday parties here . “ so . . . terrance . do you work h - here , or . . . what do you do ?” he hummed , trying to make conversation as he read along .

            ,,  i  mean,  we  might—  i  personally  just  might  not  know  abt  it  lol,  host  would  know  tho,  he  keeps  track  of  every  little  thing!  so  we  prolly  do,  im  just  too  lazy  to  go  check.
            
            the  total  blankness  of  the  man  stuck  out  to  terrance.  there  was  always  something  about  a  person,  always  a  spark—  but  vance   didn't  seem  to  have  that.  it  confused  him  much  more,  along  with  the  fact  that  he  was  eerily  familiar  to  him.  terrance  nodded.    "y—yeah..  yeah,  i'll  see  you  around,  sure.."    he  frowned,  brows  furrowing  as  he  tried  to  think.

            (  terrance  sighed,  taking  another  puff  of  his  cigarette.  he  heard  a  car  pull  up  in  the  gravel  driveway  on  the  other  side  of  the  house.  muttering,  terrance  put  out  his  cigarette  and  flicked  it  into  the  bush  below  his  window.  )  put  that  out,  my  dad's  home.  he  knows  youre  here  so  no  need  to  run  off.

            (   the  smile  he  has  slowly  fades  when  michael  looks  away.   he  does  as  well,   keeping  his  gaze  down  but  also  away.   he  wasn't  good  at  this  either,   but..   )

            psh,  don'  get  all  sappy  with  me  here.  you  know  i  ain't  good  with  this  sorta  stuff.  (  he  smiled  and  rolled  his  eyes,  though  his  cheeks  were  a  light  hue  of  red.  he  turned  his  head  away,  looking  back  at  the  window.  )

            the kid relaxed in his brother’s hold , sniffling a bit . “ mmkay . . .” he murmured quietly , agreeing to stay with mike for a bit . the smaller didn’t like being in his room in general , of course . . . thus the offer to put the Atari in his room caught his attention , and he perked up a bit . “ r - really ? you’d . . . you’d do th - that ?” he asked , wanting to be sure . mike rarely let him play on the console , let alone take it out of his room .

            mike  sighed  and  shook  his  head,  picking  up  his  younger  brother  and  holding  him  in  his  arms.    "how  about  you  lay  down  with  me?  it's  late  and  i  have  school  tomorrow.  i  can  even  put  my  atari  in  you  room  so  you  can  play  with  that  while  i'm  gone,  mk?"    he  was  looking  down  at  the  kid  in  his  arms,  a  small  smile  on  his  face.

            (   he wobbled past the male ,,   then fell onto the ground on his face ..   he didn " t sit back up until a couple minutes later ..   he whimpered ,,   looking at mike and made grabbing motions with his hands ,,   whining   )   m --- mikey  !!   p --- pick me uppp !!   (   he had forgotten everything about the bite ,,   which means that he also forgot about everything that happened before ..   //   which   //   means that he would have to almost relearn how to walk and speak ..   he mastered speaking but was having issues with walking ,,   explaining the wobbling ..   he whined louder as he kept on doing grabbing motions   )

            the  older  of  the  two  was  just  in  his  room,  hunched  over  his  desk  as  he  was  trying  to  write  something  out  on  a  sheet  of  paper.  he  couldn ' t  write  ,  so  he  started  to  pick  at  his  bandages  before  he  heard  the  soft  knocking  on  his  door.  he  hesitated,  listening  to  the  voice  before  standing  from  his  chair  and  dragging  his  feet  to  his  door,  opening  it  a  little.  michael  looked  down  at  the  child  before  smiling  slightly  ,  nodding  as  he  hid  his  bandaged  arms  behind  him.  he  was  just  in  a  white  t — shirt  and  sweatpants  .    "yeah..  yeah,  come  on,  little  man.."    he  stepped  aside  for  the  kid  to  come  in.  his  room  was  clean,  not  as  messy  as  it  was  before  the  incident.  the  spot  on  his  shelves  where  he  would  keep  his  precious  foxy  mask  was  empty  as  well.
