What's up, everyone? I'm still in the process of finishing Chapter 131. After the string of earthquakes and typhoons, we were delayed by over a month in our calendar. So when classes resumed, things had to be hella rushed. It's been rather hectic, but I'm managing.
Don't worry, though. Our Christmas Break is fast approaching, and it'll be pretty long. Expect a buttload of chapters back-to-back.
Anyway, I just wanted to whine about the fact that the Guy x Velzard ship has officially sailed in canon. After reading the preview, I couldn't help but feel slightly upset, even though I'd seen it coming a mile away. I don't know. To me, their relationship just seemed kinda forced. She's supposed to hate him, envy him, and harbor everything BUT positive feelings toward him. I guess I just never liked that trope of a character absolutely HATING someone, only to fall head over heels for them. It's weird, but that's just my opinion.
Rant over. I guess we'll see how this series truly concludes once the full volume and raw translations are released. I'll see you all in the next chapter.

@JackDaWeb well, I never hated the idea of Guy x velzard. I do think from a storytelling position there's no substance to the whole ship. It's like he just pulled it out of his ass.

@KatarinaTempest Knowing Fuse's writing, too many new plot elements will suddenly be cramped in a single volume, and even with the length of the volume, it won't be enough to thorough flesh out the additions

@JackDaWeb I agree that the whole Guy x Velzard ship is forced, mostly because we never really see them have any meaningful interaction to establish the ship beyond "Fuse says so". That and canon Velzard is a rather major spoiled brat makes it even more confusing how she can fall for Guy. Hell, even the part of them staying together for millennia can be questioned. Had it not been for your more matured characterization of Velzard, I would never believe even canon Velzard can tolerate Guy for long. Your situation is unfortunate and understandable, glad you are doing alright relatively speaking despite the occurences. I'm very much looking forward to the continuation of this story, but no rush.
