Icl, there is an author who stole a lot of my 'Savages and Purists' book ideas and applied them to their work. In turn, It's really drained my creativity and it's not the first time it has happened. I really put a lot of work into my creativity, and can tell when you take things from my book.
Just some months ago someone created a character, picking characteristics from a character I made reminiscent of my granddad. I know they think these are small creative ideas that they're stealing so it doesn't matter but that's far from the truth. Creativity takes time, detail matter, sometimes I'll be banging my head trying to come up with something original
Meanwhile she seems to be on a roll having found her speed, using my work. I'm stuck trying to come up with new ideas bcs she's exhausted mine.
I have even thought of dropping Jasmine’s Garden, because it now seems like we're writing the same lead.
I know it's not going to help because some of these things are hard to prove and intellectual property thieves take advantage of that, I just hope read this and know I see you and what you're doing isn’t right

@JackieBendster Yeah that makes a lot of sense - I get why that would affect you and it would anyone. As for the criticism.. my fiance asked me the other day if there was a question that everyone in the world would agree to the answer. I initially said that technically, yes. It would be something obvious, something everyone would know i.e what colour is the sky? What body part do human bodies use to see? Surely that would get the same answer? But in the end, I said no. Because there will always be some muppet with some theory on why that's not true. i.e you could say what shape is planet earth? Most would say a sphere. BUT there's always a muppet that will tell you we live in a glass dome. My point is: No matter if you're classified as the #1 most talented author in the world, there's always some muppet. No matter what you do, or say, no matter what you achieve or what you went through to achieve it - there'll always be some muppet to discredit you. Filter out the muppets. Because they're just that: muppets. Trust your gut. You know how amazing your writing is (at least I HOPE you do!!). Forget what the muppets say or do - stick by the people who appreciate everything you achieve and what you do to achieve it, it's the least that you deserve.

@MBarker I think I'll read this whenever I need that high octane motivation. It's definitely something to ponder on. One can be easily caught up in others opinions. A reminder is needed to trust one's guts

@JackieBendster Sorry to hear that, i would recommend to report them now cuz i am guessing if you talk to them about it they would just deny it.
