I haven’t read a lot of wlw. But i also usually find a problem with straight romance. The power imbalance, like u said; they never communicate about it & doing that is like :/. & i agree with the flat characters. It’s like the romance & sexual tension is all there is. There’s not a lot of character beats or internal conflict outside of the romance. Like who’s the character? A bookie. What’s she scared of tho? What’s her dream? Family dynamic? What’s her spark, that would get her out of bed in the morning? & if the answer to these are only the romantic interest, . >-< thanks for posting a msg
