I guess I'll start this off by introducing myself. My name is Alison. That's what people call me, that's my real name. I use the name JAK Lowe because those are my initials. (Jaime Alison Key Lowe). I use it as my pseudonym of sorts, because every good writer needs a good pseudonym. (Maybe, well, I don't know . . . but anyway, I've got one.) 
So, getting along with it, I've got a wonderfully amazing husband, Jonathan, who for most of the year, has a super, spectacular, wonderfully amazing beard that's akin to anything you'd see in an episode of Duck Dynasty. Seriously, other men have wept at the beauty of the beard. Ok, maybe not, but it's pretty awesome, and so is he. He thinks I'm weird and a bit 'off the wall', but he puts up with me anyways, so for that, he's perfectly perfect according to me. 
I've got 4 great kids, 2 girls and 2 boys from high school aged to elementary aged. They're awesome and smart and gorgeous, and I'm in no way partial or biased. (Ok, maybe a little.)
In trying to keep this short and sweet, I'll now tell you that I live in a little town called Beech Island (Our motto is seriously Ain't no Beach, Ain't no Island!) It's a pretty neat little town. It's where the late, great James Brown resided.  It's also where the now Grammy Nominated band, The Rhett Walker Band, came from. (Rhett's actually a friend of mine!! You should definitely check them out!! http://amzn.to/18c7u8X.) Down the street, in Augusta, GA is the Augusta Nationals where The Masters Golf Tournament is played and also where the band Lady Antebellum is from. 
But, back to me . . . I've written since I was in elementary school and now have finally made the jump to do it professionally. I really hope you like what you read and are dying to come back for more!
