James Feldkamp

James Feldkamp, hailing from Roseburg, Oregon, embarked on an impressive journey beginning with his academic achievements, securing a BS in Business from Oregon State University. He then entered a commendable military career in the U.S. Navy, where he was integral as a Naval Flight Officer. His responsibilities included operating as a countermeasure officer and navigator on the EA-6B and participating in critical missions during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm from the USS Midway in 1991.

Transitioning from the Navy, Feldkamp pursued a career with the FBI as a Special Agent in Norfolk, Virginia, where he was a founding member of the Tidewater Joint Terrorism Task Force. His role also included performing specialized aerial surveillance. His dedication to public service led him to enter politics, running as the Republican nominee for Oregon's 4th Congressional District in 2004 and 2006.

In 2007, James was called upon to assist in setting up the precursor to the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office (NMIO). Alongside his service, he cultivated an academic career, teaching as an adjunct professor at George Washington University, George Mason University, and Georgetown University, focusing on terrorism and security studies. His academic influence extended to authoring and editing the textbook "Theory and Politics of Terrorism."

In his professional capacity, Feldkamp has been the Lead Consultant at Complete Threat Preparedness, Inc. since 2017, where he provides expertise on security against natural and artificial threats. He also serves as a freelance editor at Reedsy, specializing in terrorism and intelligence subjects. His love for adventure is showcased by his participation in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race from 2018 to 2022, reflecting his dynamic and adventurous spirit.
