Hey, absolutely love 'I see you' and I think the character voice I really unique!! Got any tips on how to improve character voice? I feel like my characters kind of sound too similar to me sometimes.

Thank you so much for the comment :) I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed it to be honest when I’m working on character development i try to imagine who they are. Like who they would be if I knew them in real life. What is their favorite song? Color? Food? I always make them as real as possible so that way when I am introducing them to you, my Dear Reader, I can make them as alive as possible. I happen to know that Cody absolutely loves his apple fritters, and his Gran’s Gumbo. :) Emma’s favorite colors are blue and purple. Anything that you can do to make them into real. But honestly, there is a tiny bit of you in every character that you write. Same for me. We as authors always add that little spark that makes them our own. Emma sadly has my tendency for overreacting. Kinda wish I could leave that behind every now and then. I don’t know if that helps or not. I really hope it does.
