Hi, thanks for visiting my page. I'm a 34 year old father to three smart, beautiful daughters, ages 5, 4, and 1.

If I had to pick a favorite author, I'd go with Robert Aickman. He's a somewhat forgotten author of what he called "strange stories" whose work is experiencing a small resurgence through two great British presses, Tartarus and Faber & Faber. His writing shares DNA with Beckett and Kafka, but is wholly his own. As far as " weird fiction" goes, I'd also recommend Adam Golaski's collection Worse than Myself, published in 2008 by Raw Dog Screaming Press. Almost every story in the book flirts with perfection, but his work has been roundly ignored.

Some of the best I've enjoyed recently are the Last Samurai, by Helen DeWitt, Dark Matter, by Aase Berg, and Love Hotel, by Jane Unrue.

My two largest stress reducers are reading and lifting. As I've been recovering from a sprained wrist, I thought I would try writing my first short story.

More stories will be forthcoming, although I'm estranged from my two oldest daughters. While I was revising my story, I refused to play Peppa Pig with them.

Tell me what you think of my work. I love reader feedback.

Hey all, I've just posted my second story, called the Other Mike. It's my take on the witch subgenre. Check it out whenever you have time.
