Japser D. Howends was born and raised in Hartford, CT. Raised by his single mother Jasper was often picked on in school for his raggedy unkempt clothes and quirky personality. He was raised in poverty along his three siblings until his older sister moved to Kentucky due to her rebellious behavior and his older brother moved to Massachusetts following problems related to local gangs. Jasper lived with his younger brother until he turned 18 when he moved to Nashville, TN alone to pursue a sense of purpose in life. Currently working as a barista at Starbucks and a Valet Shift Lead at Opryland Hotel, Jasper continues to struggle with discovering where he belongs in the world and reflects those insecurities onto his writings.
