I am a Canadian author of Indian descent whose writing is shaped by two worlds-my small-town Indian upbringing and my life in Toronto. What began as simple journaling gradually evolved into published work across multiple genres.
Since 2018, I have written 14 books and co-authored 2 others, spanning fiction, memoir, short stories, biographies, and anthologies. In addition to my books, I frequently write articles for platforms like Medium, Substack, and my personal blog, where I share stories, reflections, and insights with readers around the world.
My writing journey began entirely by chance, with spontaneous journal entries that slowly grew into something much larger. Although I never planned to become a writer, I have always been drawn to stories. As a student, I stood out as one of the few in my circle who genuinely enjoyed literature and history, and later, in my professional life, I used storytelling as a tool to train and inspire others.
My formal journey as an author began in 2018, at the age of 38, when I decided to turn a 200,000-word childhood journal into my debut book, Version One and a Half. I had no formal writing training-only the unwavering encouragement of my late friend, Chetan Singh, whose guidance gave me the confidence to take those first steps toward becoming an author.
