I'd definitely read a teaser about Carol, I feel like she'd make a fascinating character on her own. And now you've got me curious about the delivery guy... guess I'll have to keep reading! Btw I’m a paid artist, your story really inspired me  and I’ve got some illustration ideas for your story. Can I share them with you?

"The Birthday Present" has been removed by Wattpad.
          
          Hi folks. One of my titles ("The Birthday Present") has been removed from my titles by Wattpad due to community content violations. Despite my significant effort to refocus the content on character development and emotional responses within this teaser, the determination by Wattpad was that this title qualified as *sexually explicit*. 
          I will not appeal this decision.
          I won't lie. I am disheartened. My original draft of this story involved a lot of creative energy. I edited and revised it a few times, investing even more effort. I published a more polished version of the story on Ream, and then I invested a lot of effort in trying to create a preview version that would fall within the guidelines here on Wattpad. I read a few other titles that seemed to go far beyond this work in both language and depiction of sexual acts. In the end, Wattpad has determined that I didn't do enough.
          I am unsure whether I want to persist with publishign on Wattpad. I haven't seen any noticable cross-traffic on Ream, and frankly that was the only reason that I created a Wattpad page.
          I may be shouting into a void. So far, I have no indication that anyone is actually reading my updates here. I have no followers. But I believe in communication and transparency, so I am placing this comment here in case anyone wants to understand why I have gone dark.
          I love you all - even if you don't respond to my commentary.

"The Numbers" has been withdrawn from availability. I am preparing it for submission and the potential publisher requires that it not be available in any form at present. 
          This shouldn't pose too great an issue to any of you - my preview hasn't really attracted any attention from readers. But I will make up for it, posting something new starting soon!

Self-promotion is hard!
          I consider myself to be a good author. Not everything I write is high quality, but some of my stories are extremely meaningful and I have absolutely fallen in love with more than one of my characters (I'm looking at you, Fleur!). So why don't people flock to my writing?
          Simple. There are over a thousand other stories in my chosen genre here on Wattpad. Why would anyone choose my story over anyone else's - particularly when I go out of my way to avoid salacious tropes and cliches?
          I will keep writing. I write because I thoroughly enoy the practice of writing. And I will continue to share my writing in the hopes that my characters and my prose touch the hearts of some of you the way that they have touched my own heart.

I welcome reader engagement!! I have a massive backlog of stories for publication (over 400 stories spanning almost 4 million words), so if there is a topic or character type you find intriguing, let me know. If I don't already have a story that I can edit for publication, I would probably enjoy writing a custom story.
