He funds schooling for three high risk teenagers, to make them go to the prestigious school for the Elite amongst them. His youngest daughter, Charlotte van Haetum attends the school. She doesn't have a fine time there, but he does not know that. Charlotte is assigned to guide these high risk teenagers through their last year at school, one in particular. Damien Cruz is the highest risk in the prevent program and with a lot of reluctance from his side he agrees to finish his education at Celestine High. He finds the van Haetum girl dense but nice, and the people of colour got to stick together in this predominately white school. And it brings two opposites closer together. His bloody fists and her Chanel parfum really work well together in the end.
