          Years ago I served as a Peace Corps teacher at Holy Cross Mission, which was located in the remote African village of Bolahun, Liberia.
          
          So my experience in Africa are woven into the story, and real people have inspired my characters.
          
          There is an active group of writers there in Singapore who participate in National Novel Writing Month  (NaNoWriMo).
          
          Search for "Regions." You'll find Singapore's chapter and user names of writers there.
          
          SarahColdheart is one writer there.
          
          They meet in restaurants during November and specify where.
