The daughter of an entrepreneur, Jean saw the only limitations you have are the ones you put on yourself. In the early 60s, her father owned his own cab in Queens, NY, which was unusual for a Black man armed with a tenth grade education.

Jean's debut novel Ace of Hearts started in 1980, in answer to a bet with her younger sister, Lori, yet it wasn't published until 2007. Two years later, Black Jack was released and Deuces Wild was released 10/10/10 on her 60th birthday! In November, 2011, she completed Full House, the 4th and final novel of her Deck of Cardz series. The moral of her story: Never give up your dream.

Jean now lives in Villa Rica, GA with her husband, Fred and their dogs, Kayla, a Lhasa Apso and Max, an Afghan. Their six grown children all live nearby. They have ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jean is the managing partner of her publishing house, PHE Ink - Writing Solutions.
