CHAPTER 05
Joshua's POV
The beginning of my new life seems impossible to believe right now, but the reality of my fate has struck already and I don't have a choice but to accept the new chapter of my life. Whatever episodes of life I may face with Janice, I must be serious with it, most especially that our world has now changed. Allow me to bring you back to what happened after we depart from the tank where we hid.
"We must leave, for now, Joshua! We can't risk ourselves further. We need to prepare and plan everything." I didn't talk anymore. I can't do anything but trust Janice for now.
We went home, not my own home but Janice's. I can't stay at our house or our condo because for sure, Jane would come anytime there. Her mom, siblings, and dad were in question as they saw our appearances. We looked like we were at war. Actually, for me, it was more than a chaotic war. What happened out there was frightening. I was terrified when I saw the face, Jane.
"What happened out there and you two seem kidnapped by a gangster?"
"Mom, I will explain later. For now, Joshua will stay in our house, and tomorrow we need to leave this city."
"Ha? But why? So sudden..."
"Let them in." His dad told us though he was still wondering.
Her dad and mom were exchanging looks. She noticed it. Both of them sighed. Silence. The weather was so cold. The breeze of the air was conjoining to what was happening.
"What is that all about, Mom and Dad?"
