I used to work in politics and thankfully learned early in life that picking a teams is wrong way to run a government and unite a country, as the Founder's of American government warned us. I turned my attention to what I loved, expriences, history, ideas, music, literature, nature, and most importantly people. 

I was inspired to write this story because of my love of history and my involvement sports, as a player and a youth coach. I appreciate the way that shared cultural experiences can unite people from diverse backgrounds, particulary the arts, food, and sport.  I am the grandchild of Italian immigrants and I am fascinated by the human stories that lie beneath global events. I have written fiction all of my life, but have not been published or represented by an agent.
