          I’ve been trying to write, but where I am right now it’s so hot. Like, the kind of hot where stepping outside to walk my dogs feels like opening an oven to check if the pizza is done — except I’m the pizza.
          
          I didn’t walk my dogs today because honestly it’s way too hot for them. The pavement probably has the same temperature as the surface of the sun.
          
          I also had to stop writing because my laptop started heating up like it’s preparing for liftoff. At this point I’m not sure if I’m working on a story or slowly cooking both myself and my computer.
