I write words. Lots and lots of words. Some of them are actually publishable.
I wrote my first book at age 7. It was called the PUPPY AND THE KITTY. I bound it together with cardboard, wallpaper samples, and electrical tape. It was the riveting story of a Puppy and a Kitty (who shall remain nameless, namely because I never named them) who ran away from home and got the chicken pox. Even at age 7, there were deeper messages hidden in my works. This one is pretty clear: "Don't run away from home, or you will get the chicken pox."
Publisher's Weekly called this canine/feline saga, "Fresh and fearless."
Just kidding. PW failed to respond to my review requests.
The subject matters of my books have matured (a little) since then. Now I write about teenage girls. Some are ordinary, some are extraordinary. But all of them overcome seemingly insurmountable things. Like saving the world, or navigating high school.
Check out excerpts from my teen novels (all published by Macmillan Children's Publishing Group) here on "the pad" (does anyone even call it that? Well, they should.)
I welcome your comments and all social interaction (that sounded wrong.)
