The simple answer I have, for myself (for John 1:1) is that the 'Word' was actual words. 'Let there be light'. The words of creation that created things. If you don't get this, please reply! Also, simple answer, how can Jesus be God when a) Jesus died and God can't; b) Jesus was tempted and God can't be; and c) (though there is more) Jesus said that the Father is greater than him. Can't be greater than self.
'Who is the Angel of the LORD?' What do you mean by this? In the Old Testament, or what?
