Am I another contemporary romance novelist who grew up on a farm, is happily married with a few kids, a dog and cat, and loves to read any moment she's not writing? In fact, I am. I live in a small town only a few miles away from the farm I grew up on where we raised everything from chickens to miniature horses, and that farmhouse was filled with books in every room.
However, there's much more than that. I went to college for Outdoor Education and trained for years to be a wilderness survivalist trainer. I planned to work in the South Island of New Zealand, followed by a troubled teen wilderness camp in MT. Sadly, getting ovarian cancer when I was 19 put an end to that career dream. Thankfully, I only live about a mile from the Appalachian trail, so I'm able to live out my outdoor enjoyment by frequent hiking and trail picnics.
I'm also a certified seamstress that once longed to work behind the scenes on Broadway production costumes. I currently run a charity for pregnancy and baby loss (Angel of Mine Charity), as well as a small business, both I run while writing and through my quest for publishing.
I have known that I wanted to be a published author since I was eight years old, and have never given up on that dream. I've now been writing for twenty years, and as of 2016, I am now entering the publishing world and attempting to get my manuscripts published. Hopefully you'll be seeing my books on the shelves soon!
