"The Seattle Public School District will close for at least two weeks amid concerns over the spread of novel coronavirus...SPS is the largest school district in the state with more than 50,000 students. The closure will begin Thursday (March 12)."

"On Tuesday, Public Health - Seattle & King County announced two new deaths, bringing the county total to 22. Both new deaths were residents of nursing homes. A woman in her 80s, a resident of Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died March 8. A man in his 80s, a resident of Ida Culver House, died at University of Washington Medical Center on March 9."
