I got another chapter out today! The sickness kinda comes in waves. I was well enough to get that chapter out, though. I'll do my best, but there will probably be some inconsistency as I try to figure this out. Thanks for the patience.

So my book is gonna be a little more delayed because flights were canceled and I'm a little stranded in Iceland with no money and limited internet access. I don't have my laptop, so I won't be able to post those chapters that have been ready for over a month. I'm so sorry, really hoping to get home soon. I'm sorry for not being active here, guys

Hey guys! Watched the Wicked movie the other day and it got me thinking....
          
          My SPM retelling of Wicked was one of the first stories I did, and one of my favorites despite the writing being terrible, so is that something you guys would be interested in seeing rewritten in the distant future???
          
          Let me know XD It's something I've been considering for a hot minute 

Okay, I have 5 chapters left to write, then editing. I'm not sure how much editing I'll do though because I've been kinda really uninspired lately. May just be burnout from so much school, so I'm sorry if the story isn't any good. Still, it was fun to write and I wanted to make myself write again because it's helpful for me!!  That's my kinda update. Sorry I've been so distracted - there are so many outside projects I'm balancing XP
          
          Anyway, now for the positives! Here's a small snippet from the story: 
          
          A short yap suddenly woke me from my thoughts. 
          
          I glanced up at the river. The water was still aside from the skeletal hands slithering beneath. Not a soul in sight. 
          
          I slowly turned around.
          
          There, sitting upon one of the larger river stones, was a large white dog. 
          
          Its large, jagged tail wagged. A large white smile covered the bottom half of its face. There were no teeth, but a large tongue that flopped about. Around its neck was a thick red choker with a small golden pendant that sat just beneath its chin. A collar and tag, as if it was someone's pet. 
          
          None of that mattered, though. 
          
          "A ghost..." I whispered. 
          
          It yapped again and I flinched. My eyes quickly scanned my surroundings - there was no other soul in sight. 
          
          I wasn't going to be an idiot. I wasn't going to shout "GHOST" and alert the entire Underwhere of its presence. 
          
          This was my chance. My ghost. 
          
          If my heart could still beat, it would have been racing. I could practically feel the imaginary blood pumping through my veins. 
          
          I remained still, contemplating how to do this. My dagger was attached to my belt. One quick slice and I could have it. 
          
          My left index finger twitched slightly as I slowly lowered my hand to where my blade rested. I remained slow and steady, not wanting to scare the ghost away. It seemed oblivious, stupid even. 
          
          My fingertips gently traced over the purple-gemmed knife.
          
          The dog's smile suddenly vanished, and it turned to run.

          I'M FREAKING OUT!!!!!!

10 chapters into my story! I'm almost halfway done! 
          
          I've been working at a pace of about one chapter per day, but I've had to take some weekends off because of business. This weekend will be another one where I don't get any progress done, but I'm still on track to get the book finished by the end of November and edited by the middle of December. Currently, I'm keeping the chapters decently short (they're all just over 2,000 words). My goal for editing is to get them up to 3,000, but they may more realistically end up around 2,500
          
          That's my quick story update. As for life... it could be going better. Just wanted to say that even though there is some bad coming out way, there are good people here too. Be kind whenever possible and support your loved ones to the best of your ability.

Happy Halloween everybody!!! I don't know if I've ever announced it, but this is my favorite holiday! To celebrate, my sibling and I saw a local production of Little Shop of Horrors (my second favorite play) and had an absolute blast!
          
          But now for announcements!
          
          With the triple major work with advisors, I've been working kinda slowly, but I'm hoping I can use the month of November to really zero in on the story I'm working on! I've written five chapters at this point. My goal is to finish the book by the time November is done and to spend the first half of December editing, so the story should be out by either mid-December or early January. Since more details have been wired out and solidified, I decided to tell you all a little about it!
          
          The story is called "Beneath the Ice." It's told from Dimentio's first-person perspective and takes place in the year 2034. He's been "living" in the Underwhere for quite some time now and has become well-versed in its rules and ways, though there's a slight problem - nobody can remember how they died. He tries not to let the curiosity of what happened to him in his final moments eat at his soul and instead focuses on trying to figure out how to get back to the living world. Suddenly, he sees his opportunity right in front of him, but it is quickly snatched away by someone he remembers all too well.
