I don't know... he treats his three brothers terribly—especially Soren—and his father has witnessed that behavior firsthand. So, in a way, it's understandable why he ends up being treated the way he is. At the same time, Tariq clearly doesn't like being seen that way, but he also doesn't do anything to change his behavior, and therefore doesn't change the way other people see him.
I wonder... is Tariq himself aware of this very obvious contradiction in his personality? I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts on that, Mr. Author.
Anyway, I'm genuinely impressed, Mr. Author. I really have to give you credit because I honestly didn't think you'd be able to make me feel genuine empathy for Tariq Nassar.
My greatest enemy.
Although... after this chapter, maybe he's not *quite* my greatest enemy anymore. That said, I still really dislike the way he treats Soren. I don't forgive that kind of thing easily, and I still remember when he deliberately said those awful things to Soren and made him cry just because he wanted to.
I almost forgot to mention it, but I also really liked his final conversation with Leo.
If Tariq truly changes for the better, I swear I can leave the past behind and maybe I'll actually start to genuinely like him. But... we'll see.
Take care, Mr. Author. This chapter was absolutely spectacular. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@GladiusTrinity It makes me laugh that even back then we were already talking about how much Jasper suffered. It's been ages since that conversation, and Jasper is still suffering just as much... if not more. I'd say definitely more. Poor Jasper. It's no wonder the Multiversal Jasper Union was so angry.

@GladiusTrinity If I had to give Jasper an original power, it would be the following: Jasper's power is called "Wish." It's a curious power because Jasper can only use it once a day. The power works like this: when Jasper lights a candle and makes a wish, it will come true the next day-but the effect of the wish can't last more than one day. For example: on a Monday before going to bed, Jasper lights a candle and wishes that he can pass an exam the next day even though he didn't study. The next day, he indeed passes the exam. Another example: on a Saturday, Jasper lights a candle and wishes to have telekinesis for the whole week. On Sunday, he wakes up and has telekinesis all day -but on Monday, when he wakes up, he no longer has telekinesis. As I said, the effects of Jasper's wishes only last for a full day. He can only make one wish per day, and it will always come true the next day after he makes it. What do you think, bro, of this power I came up with?

@GladiusTrinity Don't worry, Mr. Author. I want to keep following the Nassar boys too. And I found the comment where we talked about a magical power for Jasper. My next comment is going to be a copy of what I wrote back then, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on it again.
