I am quiet, introverted, but at the same time love to engage in the performing arts (music, theatre, opera etc). It gives me the opportunity to insert myself into new characters, and 'try on' personas in a safe and predictable environment. I also love to write and am a prolific reader. I work as a palliative care nurse (on a casual basis), tutor math and chemistry, and have research experience. I have a Master's degree in Forest Biology, and a BSc in cell and molecular biology, and am licensed as a teacher (BCCT) and as a registered nurse (CRNBC). I am married to my best friend and have two adult sons, and a wonderful daughter-in-law. I also have three grandchildren. I consider myself a life-long learner, and am always open to try new experiences and push the envelope. I love gardening, knitting, cooking, and all things creative. My life is made complete by my beehives, a tame rabbit that assists me with my gardening tasks, and the support and protection of a guard chicken who roosts on my clothes dryer. What more could I ask for?
