I received my undergraduate and master's degrees from San Diego State University and then taught English to college freshmen for ten years before leaving to follow two favorite performers around the United States. My peeps are Brandi Carlisle and Dawes. I love these people and love hearing them night after night. It never gets old. My BFF is with me, Rafael, and we camp out as often as we can but now, with winter coming, we'll probably head someplace warm and hang there for a few months..

I began writing in my teens and have written primarily poetry and professional papers on the life and writings of Emily Dickinson. I began writing Vortice after I left the world.
